The Idaho Department of Education is excited to announce the First Annual Summer Training Conference to take place at the Galaxy Event Center and the College of Western Idaho on July 23-25, 2024.

The Train the Trainer courses and Technician Workshop are merging into a unified event, featuring fresh and revised content. This comprehensive program aims to empower transportation professionals, equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in their roles and provide outstanding training for their staff.

The conference will kick off with an all-attendee breakfast and opening session at the Galaxy Event Center followed by a Train the Trainer 3-hour recertification. Technician workshops and classroom instruction will take place Tuesday afternoon through Thursday at the College of Western Idaho.

CWI is a great facility with plenty of space to offer multiple training sessions at once. School buses will be inside the facility, giving attendees hands-on training opportunities in a comfortable and cool environment. The conference will be formatted to meet the needs of transportation staff that require both Train the Trainer and technician training.

The Idaho State Police and members of local Law Enforcement will be in attendance throughout the Conference along with the Idaho Association of Pupil Transportation. An awards ceremony recognizing individual, school district and contractor achievements will take place at the Galaxy Event Center the morning of July, 23rd!

A School Bus Market Leaders Meet and Greet will take place on the evening of July 24th, in the CWI-Parking Lot. You won't want to miss this networking opportunity full of food, music and fun!

On behalf of the Idaho Department of Education, we can't wait to see you at the First Annual Summer Training Conference!
